تجزئة الأسهم

هي عبارة عن عملية ينتج عنها زيادة عدد الأسهم المكونة لرأس مال الشركة دون أن يمثل ذلك زيادة في حقوق الملكية نظرًا لانخفاض كل من القيمة الاسمية والقيمة السوقية للسهم بنسبة التجزئة المقررة، فإذا كانت القيمة الاسمية للسهم 50 ريالًا والقيمة السوقية للسهم 500 ريال وعدد الأسهم المصدرة 100000000 سهم وتقرر تجزئة أسهم شركة بنسبة 5 إلى 1 فإن الوضع بعد التجزئة يصبح على النحو التالي: القيمة الاسمية للسهم 10 ريالات والقيمة السوقية للسهم 100 ريال وعدد الأسهم 500000000 سهم.
